About Us
The AMERICAN ASIAN CULTURAL CENTER is supported by THE MISSION OF TAO-CONFUCIANISM, a nonprofit corporation registered in the state of California for the study of:
- 1 Philosophy.
- 2 Ancient civilization and the history of East-West cultures.
- 3 Universal law, ancient documents & literature and other related studies.
The aim of the AMERICAN ASIAN CULTURAL CENTER is:
- 1 American-Asian studies.
- 2 The study and comparison of doctrines, principles and theories underlining the different great religions and philosophies of the world.
- 3 Provide a meeting place for people of American & Asian cultures to share ideas & philosophies.
Activities of the AMERICAN ASIAN CULTURAL CENTER:
- 1 Classes in the exchange of western & eastern ideas, philosophies, cultures and demonstration of day to day living through painting, calligraphy, music, chess, folk art, flower arrangement and exercise for healthful living etc.
- 2 The study & comparision of English & Asian languages.
- 3 Lectures to be conducted monthly by prominent scholars in various fields of study.
- 4 Maintain a library of current classics in English & Asian literature open to the community.
- 5 Provide community services through exhibition & displays, swimming classes, group recreational activities and other various services to the community as may be needed.
The AMERICAN ASIAN CULTURAL CENTER will offer a unique opportunity for the people of American & Asian cultures to meet in mutual understanding & cooperation which will then lead to a better relationship and encourage a more positive and harmonious social environment in which to live and work in the community of Alhambra.
